Methods: A retrospective analysis of a total of 171 cases of hospitalized patients for single segmental lumbar degenerative disease in our hospital from March 2007 to March 2007.According to the inclusion criteria, patients were divided into unilateral lumbar pedicle screw fixation combined with TLIF technique grou and bilateral pedicle screw fixation combined with TLIF group. The unilateral grou had 79 cases, 76cases were followedu ，male38andfemale41cases,aged25to65yearsold,averaged45.3yearsold. Thebilateralgrou had92cases,87caseswerefollowedu male53andfemale39cases, ， aged 26 to 70 years old, averaged 50.1 years old. All patients with the improved preoperative lumbar spine X-ray, CT and MRI examination were operated by the same grou of physicians line of unilateral or bilateral pedicle screw fixation combined with TLIF technique. Operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative flow and hospitalization dayswere recorded.
