Through literature review and case studies, it employs the linkage theory and methods in urban design to explore the feasible strategy of integrating the historical relics in old districts of towns. Taking the moat of Wuyuan Town in Haiyan as an example, the paper comes up with linkage strategies of linear distributed memory places, providing technical models and innovative ideas for highlighting the regional characteristic of small towns and for constructing the identity of place.
