With the development of urban economy,the transport problems of urban have become increasingly severe.One of the main causes of these problems is that the construction of city road network cannot meet the increasing requirement of urban transport demand.Another cause is the modal imbalance of urban transport.Urban public transport has become important means to deal with the
contradiction between the supply and demand of urban transport.And it plays an
important role in adjusting urban transport structure.
Urban public transport is mainly composed of Mass Rapid Transit and common public transport.And common public transport,which relies mainly on buses,is the emphasis of developing urban transport.But recently,the development of it has been slowed down because of problems,such as low speed, low level of service.So the bus traffic cannot develop swimmingly.So to build the bus priority system is the key to solving the urban transport problems.
The bus priority system discussed in the thesis is divided into 3 parts,ie,the bus priority on road,the bus priority on intersection and the bus transport priority network.The thesis studied systematically,the designing methods of bus lane, bus entrance lane of intersection and bus bay stop and their interrelationship.And the setting standard ofbus lane is also studied.which includes the standard ofbus
speed,the standard ofbus flow rate,the standard ofroad condition.Moreover the bus signal priority and the pre—signals are introduced and the bus priority network is planned by using the planning method of urban mass transit network.Finally
the methods of benefit assessment of bus lane,bus approach lane and bus transport priority network are studied,which takes the travel time of each person as standard.
Based on all those studies,the system idea of planning bus priority network has been established.Finally,taking Chengdu as an example,the thesis has discussed the actual process ofplanning bus transport prior
