In this paper, the course of mutual impetus and interaction between the landslide and the tunnel are analyzed based on various damages occurred in the Xiaomansahe tunnel of YuanM o express w ay in Yunnan province. It discloses the mechanism of interaction betw een the landslide and the tunnel Lastly, it puts f orw ard some advice for design and const ruct ion of the same kind of tunnels.
