Influence of Pyracantha on Blood Rheology of Rats Fed with High Fat Diet

ABSTRACT:Objective To study the influen e of pyra antha on blood rheology of rats fed with high fat
diet .Methods 4 groups of Wister rats were fed respe tively with standard diet, 85%standard diet plus 15%
pyra antha, high fat diet, 85%high fat diet plus 15%pyra antha.Whole blood vis osity, plasma vis osity,
and hemator rit were determinated while plasma fibrinogen and inhibited erythro yte aggregationwere al ulat-
ed .Result Pyra antha de reased the whole blood vis osity, plasma vis osity plasma fibrinogen and inhibited
erythro yte aggregation of rats fedwith high fat diet.Conclusion Pyra antha an improve the hermorrheology of
rats fed with high fat diet.
