AbstractIn Abstract In this dissertation，an embedded system for home ECG(electrocardiograph)and BP(blood pressure)monitoring is proposed as well as designed．This system is developed based on a high performance embedded 32．bit ARM microprocessor,and implemented on real—time operation system platform named as u C／OS-II．Users could gather,record and search ECG and BP data with this system。which also provided the diagnosis of 12 kinds of abnormal ECG such as premature ventricular pulmonary automatically and trendline of BP data in a month。Further more，USB (universal serial bus)interface is implemented to communicate with PC(personal computer)。LCD(Liquid crystal display)is used to display ECG waveform and system menu，which is cooperated with keyboard buttons，in order to provide amicable interface and make operation simple and convenient．This system，with characteristic of small and low—cost，is properly used in health care for family member for its significant meaning to diagnose heart disease a￡its early stage． The S3C44BOX。a new embedded 32南it ARM microprocessor,is the kernel of the digital circuit．On the other hand，analog circuit implements amplifying ECG and BP signals by using amplifier and sensor砸壤hi曲precision。硪gh performance is obtained aS well as low—cost in this system． Embedded real-time multi—task software design method is adopted to replace the previous traditional background method．t．t C／OS-H，a code-opened RTOS kernel，is transplanted to the platform of the S3C4480X and functionally extended to a more useful one by designing some modules such as file system。Application software is of layered system structure and is logically organized with hardware interface software module，RTOS system software module，and application。Moreover，a new method for the locating ECG key points is introduced according to the characteristic of ECG waveform in amplitude and slope．At the sanle time，the author design arithmetic to improve methods used in the BP measurement and the analy
