This analysis results show that the above method can reduces the project cost, shorten the construction period, effectively improve local geological conditions, and increase the shear strength of soil body. In addition, the method is of remarkable reinforcing effect on new dredger-filled soil layer. The combination of long and short draining boards is applied successfully in soft base improvement, which serves as a significant guidance for other similar projects.
