Study on improvement of red soil in Guangdong by
multifunctional water-reserving agent

Abstract :In this paper, improvement of red soil in Guangdong by multifunctional water-reserving agent was
studied, the results showed that water evaporation in the soil could be reduced by multifunctional water-reserv-
ing agent, and the effect increased with increasing of the dosage, but when the water content of the soil was
less than 3%or higher than 50 %, the difference of the effect decreased.The formation of the aggregate struc-
ture with the diameter of 0.25 ~4 mm in the soil could be accelerated by multifunctional water-reserving
agent.The heat preservation property and dilatation of the soil could be improved by increasing the dosage of
the multifunctional water-reserving agent, too.
