A + be + 比较级 + than + B. 让学生看图片尝试用比较级描述两样实物。强调单复数的区别。 The ruler is longer than the pencil. The footballs are smaller than the basketballs. 介绍形容词比较级的构成方式 一般情况下直接在形容词后面加-er。如long-longer. 以不发音的字母“e”结尾的单词，去掉“e”，再加-er。如late-later. 以重读闭音节结尾的词，双写末字母再加-er。如 big-bigger. 再多音节词前面加more。如beautiful- more beautiful. 以“辅音字母+y”结尾的单词，把字母y变成i, 再加er。如heavy-heavier. 一些特殊形式的变化，如good-better. 总结并让学生做练习巩固。
