His Leviathan is about a writer who gradually transforms into a terrorist because of chronic trauma inflicted by his traumatized par- ents and the unfriendly sociopolitical context from the 1960s to the 1980s. This essay tries to in- terpret the traumatic experience and symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder of the protagon- ist after the catastrophic fall from a building. And it also tries to analyze the intrinsic and extrinsic reasons which induce his accident and his transformation from a talented writer to a terrorist. By analyzing the trauma hidden in the protagonist, it is hoped that the essay can help readers better understand the novel and the importance of a friendly, just and harmonious society.
