IP coding scheme greatly improves the video data carrying capacity, the video image resolution has increased dramatically, and it has a high degree of scalability, extensibility, and good management of other advantages. However, IP has a non-real-time transmission coding schemes, lossy coding, security is not high intrinsic defects. Compared coding scheme and IP, HD-SDI program is real-time, non-coding lossless transmission, safe. But few programs to support HD-SDI video formats poor scalability. This article is based on research objectives DisplayPort 1.1a interface standard, the new design of a new high-definition, ultra-high-definition video transmission interface - HDI (High Definition Interface) interface to enable it to achieve limited to video format, long distance, lossless coding, real-time transmission of video data purposes. To solve now HD video surveillance market long-distance transmission problems and overcome the inherent deficiencies of existing IP and HD-SDI, and propose a viable definition, ultra-high-definition video transmission scheme. Taking into account the transmission line how to effectively use the existing analog surveillance systems and HD-SDI monitoring system existing equipment, future cost savings from the high to ultra-high transition.
