Warming-up and Lead in 1. Enjoy the song How’s the Weather Today? 2. Sing the song. Ⅱ. Presentation 1. (Show some pictures of the weather) Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures. 2. CCTV weather report Let Ss know the signs of weather report. 3. Look at the pictures in 1a. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures. 4. Check the answers. Ⅲ. Listening 1. Now lets listen and number the pictures1-4. 2. Now, We’ll hear four conversations. Write the name of the activities. 3. Check the answers. Ⅳ. Pair work 1.Show some pictures of some activities with different weather. 2. Make a model with a student like this: T: Hi! Hows the weather in Beijing? S1: Its sunny. T:W hat is he doing? S1:He is reading . 3. Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities. Ⅴ. 2d Role-play the conversation 1. Ask Ss to listen to the conversation and answer the questions: ① Whats Steve doing? ② Whats Ricks brother doing? Then check the answers together.
