Warming- up and revision 1. Greet students 2. Have students talk about their last weekend. (show them some key words.) Ⅱ. Presentation 1.Work on 2a. Discuss:What kind of animals are people sometimes afraid of? Why? Have students make a list. eg.tigers,lions,etc. 2.Show students new words on the screen. Make the students read. Ⅲ. Reading Work on 2b: 　 This activity provides reading practice using the target language. 1. Fast reading Read the article quickly to get the general idea,then tick the right pictures, which is about Lisa’s weekend: Picture1: their air ride was short Picture2 : went camping in a small village Picture3: made a fire to cook food Picture4: two tigers sleeping near the fire. Picture5: shouted to their parents. (The right pictures are:2,3,5) 2. Careful reading Read the article slowly and carefully then find the answers to the questions on page71.
