一、教学目标
1.Key phrases:watching TV; cleaning ;reading a newspaper ;talking on the phone ;exercising; listening to a CD ;using the computer ;making soup ;washing the dishes.

Step1. Warming up
Greet Ss as usual.
Step2. Presentation
1.Let us play a guessing game
Act out some activities and other students guess
Eg: open the door. T: –What am I doing? Ss:You are opening the door.
clean the blackboard T: –What am I doing? Ss: –You are cleaning the blackboard.
read a book T:- What am I doing? Ss:--You are reading a book.
talk on the phone T:- What am I doing? Ss: You are talking on the phone
2. Show a picture and ask students some questions.
What are you doing? I am drawing.
What is he doing? He is listening.
What are you doing? I am writing.
What is she doing? She is writing.
3.To present other sentence structures:
What is he / she /it doing? --He/She/It is…
What are they doing?—They are…
Step3 .Find the common points
1.sentence structures: what+ be (am/are/ is)+ 主语 +doing?
-- 主语+be(am/ are/ is) + v-ing (注:be的形式由主语的数决定)
.现在分词的构成
a.一般在动词原形末尾加-ing。
b.以不发音字母e结尾的动词,先去掉e,再加-ing。
c.以重读闭音节结尾的动词,如果末尾只有一个辅音字母,应先双写这个字母,再加-ing。
