万方数据 万方数据 Abstract This thesis provides frameworks for evaluating the impact of di?erent physical layer techniques on the network performance. The emphasis of the framework is on how to analytically char- acterize various performance metrics as functions of di?erent parameters. By analyzing those functions, insights for design and optimization over di?erent parameters can be obtained. Two physical layer techniques are considered separately in this thesis, because of their potential for improving network throughput. They are two-way relaying and multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO). Each of them correspon
