Abstract: The pyroly sis technolo y has many applications for comprehensive utilization of or anic solid w astes.
The paper presented the fundamentals of pyrolysis, its applicable areas, major pyrolysis processes and sy stems.The
ener y conversion, composition and properties of pyroly sis products and advanta es of applyin pyroly sis technolo y
for disposal and comprehensive utilization of or anic solid w astes w ere described usin w astewater slud e pyroly sis ca-
ses as examples.Three modes of pyroly sis application and some plannin ideas for technolo y development w ere rec-
ommended, includin the start-up of a demonstration project, key technical problems, solid w aste exchan e plat-
forms, support and monitorin of overnment policies and re ulations.
