Chinese construction companies not only carry out the projects in the domestic but only continue to expand the international market. More and more strong Chinese construction companies begin to work in the international market, creating a new world of offshore engineering. Engineering industry has many potential risks. The international environment has many uncontrollable factors. There are more risks during the international engineering projects than domestic projects. Especially the project managers lack of consciousness of risk management and have a hazy understanding of offshore engineering risks that will aggravate the risks caused by the risk events. Social risk has more and more influence on offshore projects .Experts and scholars are paying more attention to social risks. The complexity of offshore engineering social factors and the sudden risk events will cause a huge risk for Chinese companies’ offshore engineering.
