College of Food Science and Technology, Hunan Agricultural University, Changsha 410128, China) ABSTRACT: Objective To improve microbiological examination capability and increase laboratory compe- tition. Methods According to national standard GB4789.2-2010 and GB4789.4-2010, based on the multi di- lution, multi samples and multi methods, the bacterial count in sample PTA, Salmonella in sample PTB-1 and PTB-2 were detected. Results The results showed that the bacterial count in sample PTA was 590 cfu/mL, Salmonella in the sample of PTB-1 was negative, Salmonella in the sample of PTB-2 was positive. Conclusion All tests have achieved satisfactory results, and Z (score values) were less than 1 (the absolute value of Z equal or less than 2 is satisfied results). KEY WORDS: food
