College of Civil Engineering, Shaoxing University, Shaoxing 312000, Zhejiang, China) Abstract: Cementation process of microbe cement was investigated by biological microscope, scanning electron microscopy and fluorescence microscopy, respectively. The results by biological microscope show that microbe cement is a formation cementation matter of calcium carbonate between loose sand particles within 1.0 hour, and the cementation process continues for 5.0 hours, and the cementation has no effect afterwards. The results by scanning electron microscope and fluorescence microscope indicate that microorganism in microbe cement is firstly absorbed on the surface of loose sand particles,
