Analysis on the Interaction between Industrial Structure
and Labor Employment in Beijing

Abstract : Changes of industrial structure and employment are of great importance to the sound development of
national economy for any region. The paper summarizes the changes in Beijings industrial structure and
employment structure since the reform and opening up and analyses their evolution trend. The paper also
analyses the impact of the three changes of industrial structure on employment referring to the theory of
elasticity of employment and elaborates on the problems arose in rural labor force migration in Beijing and puts
forward advice on policies of optimizing labor force employment structure in Beijing.
