They have inner relationship and develop with each other. The concordant layout of public traffic facilities will help to lead the inhabitants living in the inner city out, bring on population suburbanization and make population distribution more reasonable. Otherwise, the change of population distribution will also have great influence on the public traffic routes and nets. In addition, the relationship between population and public traffic is same as other human-natural relationship. It also contains harmoney. So study on this topic has very important meaning and academic proofs. Through building a concept model of the relationship between population and public traffic, the authors analyse two major relations: one is population with routine public traffic, the other is population with urban rail transit, and then distinguishes their different characteristics and laws. The authors also analyse the cause of the different relationship with population between routine public traffic and rail transit in practice. Two cases are us
