The development of mountain area has a direct impact on the construction of world city and the realization of modernization in Beij ing. So promoting ecological civilization construction of Beijing mountain area plays a key role in sustainable development of Beijing and building a harmonious society. The ecological civilization construction is a complicated systematic engineering, and has close relation with the natural resource base, the social and economic conditions, and the knowledge level of people in local areas. This paper revealed the base of ecological civilization construction of Beijing mountain area. The current situation of construction in different districts and exiting problem were analyzed. Then the advice on promoting ecological civilization construction were suggested. Key words: Beiji ng mountain area; ecological civilization; current station; advice
