PAGE PAGE 4 义务教育基础课程初中教学资料 初中英语冀教版九年级Unit 1 Stay Healthy        Lesson 4 : Don’t Smoke, Please ! 教材分析 本课是冀教版Book5第四课。本课主要谈论吸烟有害健康以及如何远离香烟两个话题。要求学生学会并运用新词汇,谈论吸烟的害处及如何远离香烟。 学情分析 到了九年级上半年,学生对英语语言的学习有了一定的基础,词汇量、阅读能力、写作能力都处于上升阶段,如何让学生在难度逐渐增加、词汇量逐渐增大的情况下,保持并提高英语学习的兴趣,是九年级教学的关键。 教学目标 语言知识与能力目标 1 学习词汇:smoke, harmful, harm, public, law , disease ,lung ,breathe, cigarette, whenever, risk ,somebody 短语:millions of,as a result of,second-hand smoke, take a risk,get into the habit of, stay away from 2 能力目标:锻炼阅读能力 情感目标 通过本课学习,让学生体会到吸烟有害健康并能积极地远离吸烟。 教学重点 1 培养学生的阅读能力 2 掌握并运用本课所学谈论吸烟有害健康及如何远离香烟的话题。 教学难点 掌握吸烟有害健康及如何远离香烟 教学手段 多媒体 教学过程 师生活动 设计意图 Step1 Greetings Greetings 师生互想问候可以增进师生友谊,有助于活跃课堂气氛,体现师生的平等对话 Pre-reading Warming up and Pre-reading T: Do people in your family smoke? Do you think smoking is a bad habit? Do you smoke? And then tell a real story to show that smoking is bad. Ask the students to guess the meaning of the new words. 引起学生的兴趣,激发他们的学习热情 训练猜词技巧,提高阅读能力 While-reading 1 Skimming Listen to the tape and answer T or F Ask the students to read the passage as fast as they can to find out the main idea of the passage. 2 Scanning 1)Match 2)Read the text carefully and aloud,then complete the information chart 3)Use phrases to make sentences by using some pictures 提高听力并能让学生对文章整体了解 训练学生找准文章的中心思想 训练学生跳读能力 大声朗读,模仿标准的语音语调。 掌握并能灵活运用本课知识点 Post-reading 1) Learn to be a reporter in groups. ( Make a dialogue) A: Why is smoking harmful? B: Because Smoking is bad for your health. A:What should we do?
