通过本课的学习,我希望同学们能够:
1. Master the following words and sentence patterns:
words: prepare, prepare for, exam, flu, available, another time, until, hang, hang out, catch
Sentence patterns:
1)-Can you come to my party? -Sure, I’d love to.
2)-Can you go to the movies on Saturday?
-I’m sorry. I have too much homework to do. /I must go to the doctor./I might meet my friend.
3)-Can he/she go to the movies on Saturday?
-Yes, he/she can.
-No, he/she can’t.
4) That’s too bad. Maybe another time.
2. Important and difficult points:
1) Modal verb “can” is used for expressing invitations.
2) Learn to offer invitations and reply to invitations.
三、学生学情分析
Students have learnt the modal verb “can” used for expressing one’s ability of doing something before, but this time “can” is used for offering invitations, though the sentence structure has not changed, the usage is a little different. The key is for students to master this new kind of usage, so they can use “can” to offer invitations.
四、教学策略设计(如何落实教学目标,如何突破重点、难点的策略和方法)
First, the students should get familiar with the new words and phrases in this lesson. So it won’t be difficult for them to practice the key sentence patterns. That’s why I put some new phrases and their relevant pictures together to help the students. Then, I will write down the main sentence patterns on the blackboard. So when I ask students to work in pairs to ask and answer they can easily do this job. After that, I will show students some pictures, students work in groups to ask and answer when they see each picture.
