课题:Unit 2 How often do you exercise? Section B 2a—2e
Teaching Purpose:
To practice students’ reading ability with the target language.
To practice students’ scanning ability with the target language.
To practice students’ writing ability with the target language.
Teaching Difficult Points:
How to scan a passage and write sentences with the target language.
Practice frequency adverbs and numbers.
Teaching Important Points:
Practice students’ reading ability.
Practice students’ writing ability.
Teaching Procedure:
Step 1: Greeting and leading in.
The students read the new words and phrases on P122. The teacher greets students.
The teacher asks students what they usually do on weekends and how often they do these activities and do 2a.
Step 2: Presentation and Practice
Before students read the passage, review numbers. Then the teacher should ask students to pay attention to the title and the pie chart, and guess what the passage mainly talks about. Then do 2b, and check the answers.

After that, ask students to scan the passage and answer the questions of 2c.When they read the passage, they should underline the useful sentences. And check the answers one by one. Then the teacher shows some important phrases and sentences of the passage using PPT.
