Part 1 The analysis of the teaching material and students
First The analysis of the teaching material
This period is from Unit7 of Grade 8 “Go for it ! ” This lesson is a reading passage, which focused on the topic of the development of robots in the future . Such a topic is interesting, so it is easy to arouse the Ss’ learning interests.By using the Simple Future Tense ,students can talk about their future . This part designs some questions to improve the students’ ability of reading .It is very good.
Second The analysis of the students
The students have learned English for some years . They can make simple sentences and articles by themselves . They are active and like games , competition and activities. They enjoy learning knowledge through cooperation and games .
Part 2 Teaching objects
First Knowledge objects :
To know the spelling of the following new words phrases
dangerous , already ,factory , believe , agree, fall , possible, over and over again , hundreds of , fall down , look for
To learn something about robots
To grasp the main idea of the reading passage and use the information to talk about robots .
Second Ability objects
Help the students to understand the passage better and improve the four skills .
Develop their ability of reading .
Train them to collect information from the Internet .
Third Emotion objects
Arouse their interest in learning English .
Enable the students to have their own dreams .
Encourage the students to have their own inventions .
Part 3 Teaching Important points
To get an overall understanding of the whole text .
. To develop their reading skills .
3. Use “will” to make predictions .
Part 4 Teaching Difficult points
Enable the students to use the new words and phrases to express their ideas about their life in the future .
Develop the ability of skimming and scanning .
Make predictions correctly .
