1. Ask Ss to write down as many adj. about people as possible. Check the adj. Ss write and we can group them into some pairs, like: tall --- short; thin --- heavy, long hair --- short hair, quite---outgoing funny---serious …
Give Ss some examples
e.g. 1.She has long/short hair.
2.she is quiet/outgoing.
3.Zhao Benshan is funny but Wang Zhiwen is serious.
Ⅱ. Presentation
Ask Ss to look at some pictures to see the differences. Then compare some of their things with each other.
e.g. Julie is thinner than Judy. Judy is heavier than Julie.
Pan Changjiang is funnier than Li Yong.
Mike is more outgoing than John.
She is younger than him. He is older than her.
Pan Hong is more serious than Pan Changjiang.
Pan Changjiang is funnier than Pan Hong
The boy is cuter than the girl.
Summarize the Comparatives. Group competition.

Let the students make sentences use comparatives degree.
A + be(V) + 比较级 + than + B.
