They are talent shows. In similar ways, learn different kinds of TV shows by showing pictures: game shows, sports shows, talk shows, news, soap operas, sitcoms. Remind Ss pay attention to the singular and plural forms of the shows, especially the word “news”, it’s an uncountable noun. Read the names of the TV shows twice on the blackboard. 2. Match the TV shows with the picture[a-g]. Check the answer one by one. 3. Game: Tonight’s TV shows Show a short video of different TV shows and let Ss write down the TV shows on the exercise paper. Then check the answers. Ask Ss to read the TV shows on the ppt again. Step 2. Teacher’s plan T: Among these TV shows, I like the news best. I plan to watch the news.
