It can be divided into fi ve stages for analyzing. They are self-service, transformation led by government, destructive transformation, development of real estate, overall conservation. Considering the current situation of Sanfang-Qixiang, we come into several conclusions as follow. Pseudo-classic architecture cannot replace the real historical architecture, and they even cannot represent any epochal architectural style. It’s needed to considerate the future historical value of renewal buildings before they have been built.
