Not only did the project have to allow for the particular climatic and geological conditions of the space, but it also had to meet the highest ecological expectations. Sustainable technology and architecture as well as an ingenious water cleansing system complete the sensational design, which combines Chinese and European principles of landscape architecture. The Chenshan Botanical Garden Shanghai not only represents the whole variety of Nature, but also stands for collaboration and sharing of knowledge in a globalized world.
