Ask individuals: Did you have a good time on vacation? Where did you go? What did you do?
Step2 Pre-reading
Ss discuss in pairs. What do people usually do on vacation?
What do you find enjoyable?
Ask different pairs to share their ideas. Teach the new vocabulary at the same time.
Step3 While-listening
Task1. Read Jane’s diary quickly and find out:
Where did Jane go on vacation?
Have Ss give their answers and teach the new vocabulary like Malaysia.
Task2. Read the diary more carefully and answer the questions.
Did Jane have a good time in Malaysia? Why?
Ss share their answers.
Task3. Read the diary for the third time, and fill in the blanks.
