Step 3 Reading
1 .Present new words and expressions .
(1) Let the students read the words and phases according to the phonetic symbols on Page 117 .
(2 )W rite out the Chinese meanings of the words and phases :

Read the passage carefully and answer the following questions :

(5) Would you like to help the persons like the writer ? How ?
Step 4 After-reading
Discuss the questions with a partner in groups .
(1) In what other ways do you think dogs are able to help people ?
(2) What other animals can we train to help people ?
