Teaching procedures: Step 1: Lead – in 1. Show students some videos about some types of films 2: Guessing games Show some pictures and let the students guess the types of films as quickly as possible. Step 2：Presentation 1.Show students the picture of Titanic on the ppt to teach new words “actor， actress, superstar, Hollywood” 2.Then suppose you are the director, what you will say in the following situations: ①The actors are ready for the performance: _Stand by!_. ②The actors have done a good job: Good take!. ③The actors didn’t do a good job: Take two ! . ④The actors start to perform: Action ! . Step3:Practice a dialogue 1.Ask the students who they would like to be if they are given a chance to be a member of the film industry.
