ABSTRACT As the most important parts of tertiary industry in China, the tourism has always been admired as the sunrise industry. The tourism can bring tremendous economic benefit for the government and the firm as well as the development of related industries and peripheral industries. Because of its unique natural conditions and superior geographic position, Hainan Island has always occupied the leading position in Chinese tourism. Following with the international tourism on Promoting the development of Hainan Island several opinions of the construction promulgated by the State Council promulgated, the provincial government put out a series of measures to promote the construction of the internationalization of Hainan Island, and refined the guiding ideology, development goal and key tasks. In the condition of the favourable development prospect and Comprehensive support of the country, it is necessary to analyze the state-of-the-art of the tourism of Hainan Island, and come up with corresponding marketing strategies, and development proposal. Taking the development programming of the tourism of Hainan Island as object of study, this paper uses a variety of analytical methods and put forward nichetargeting suggestions. First, based on the retrospect of the development history of tourism of the world and China, the paper finds that the tourism of Hainan Island is facing huge development opportunity. Secondly, based on the analysis of the tourism resource capability of Hainan Island and using other top-ranking international tourism island for references, the paper put forward industry orientation and analyzes the feasibility and business model of the key industries. More importantly, this paper divides Hainan Island into five areas from the angle of regional planning and combined with the tourism resource characteristic and tourism resource of each areas.
