万方数据 万方数据 Investigation and Analysis of Clinical Characteristics and Pituitary Function Evaluation for 428 Patients Receiving Pituitary Tumor Surgery in Guiyang City Major: department of endocrinology Postgraduate:Qiu Shuang Supervisor:Shi Lixin Zhuang Huijun [Abstract] Objective: To explore the clinical characteristics as well as the postoperative pituitary function evaluation and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for patients with pituitary tumor, thereby offering reference to the clinical treatment for patients receiving pituitary tumor surgery. Methods: Retrospective analysis was performed to the clinical data of 428 patients given with pituitary tumor resection, and the clinical characteristics, postoperative pituitary function evaluation and hormone replacement were also analyzed. Results: There were 219 male patients (51.08%) and 209 female patients (48.92%), ageing between 7-78, with an average age of (45.82±13.64) years old, and occurred mostly in 41-50 years old (27.80%); as indicated by the clinical manifestation, imageology, endocrinous test and immunohistochemical staining, the headache, dizzy and vomit were the most common initial symptoms, and the detection rate of macroadenoma was the highest. However, the hugeadenomas was higher than microadenoma in terms of detection rate in this study. In the preoperative diagnosis, plurihormonal tumor was the most common type (64.9%), and prolactinoma was the most common one in postoperative diagnosis (41.73%). Pituitary tumor resection made by transcranial and transsphenoidal approaches accounted for 34.35% and 65.65%, and the postoperative complication of pituitary tumor resection by transsphenoidal approach accounted for 37.72%, which was significantly lower than the transcranial approach of 58.04% (P0.05).
