Thus the translation of the cultureloaded words is the key to the TCMtranslation. This paper firstly discussed the relationship between cross-culture communication and the translation of TCMculture-loaded words. Based on Venuti，s domestication and foreignization theory, we tried to explore the appropriate strategies for translating TCMculture-loaded words with examples as illustrations. The conclusions are as follows: against crossculture communication background, the primary condition for tremslating TCMculture-1oaded words is translators cross-culture communication awarcncss， both domestication and foreignization strategy are translation spirit based on cross-culture communication and are demonstrated in all translation methods. These two translation strategies are indispensable to each other, and translators should adopt specific translation strategy or the combination of two stratcgies according to specific situations.
