In order to solve the problem of high mounting positions of electromag- netic stirrer and fluctuation of the meniscus ，some technical thoughts both in domestic and abroad were introduced. And the domestic focus on the newly used magnetic shielding technology and developing full winding slab continuous casting mold electromagnetic stirring device with high magnetic field and high thrust of proprietary intellectual property rights.
