Ltd., Tianjin 300300, China ） Abstract : By means of the experiment and subjective evaluation, the problem of gear knocking abnormality of front- engine and rear-drive cars is studied, and the strong correlation between the torsional vibration characteristics of the driveline and the abnormal sound of the transmission gears is confirmed. The simulation model of the transmission systems is established by using ADAMS software. The influence of the torsional stiffness characteristic parameters of the key components of the transmission system on the abnormal sound of the gears is analyzed. The results show that the main damping rigidity of the clutch and the torsional stiffness of the rear axle have a significant effect on the torsional vibration of the transmission system, which causes the gears mutual hitting.
