Construction and Interpretation On Shuikou Landscape of Huizhou Ancient Village ABSTRACT Shuikou landscape of Ancient Village is unique in Huizhou with a strong regional style of rural landscape, an important part of Chinese classical garden and Huizhou s culture. This paper proceed from studying the relationship between the Shuikou and the Huizhou traditional culture. On the basic of investigating and analyzing the typical existing Shuikou landscape of Huizhou ancient village and its historical documents. It discussed building elements and artistic charm of shuikou landscape, and summarized the values and its application. The whole paper is divided into three parts. Part I ( chaper 1 ): preface.it generalized the realistic significance and the theory significance of the shuikou landscape. Part Ⅱ (chapter2 ～ Chapter5) : Construction and Interpretation. It explained the origin of the shuikou, Landscape concept and philosophy of modern western landscape, the types and its landscape, analyzed the construction of shuikou landscape elements that form factor, spatial patterns, and cultural causes, materials applications. Interpretation of its cultural meaning, space art, construction characteristics such as achievement. Part Ⅲ(chapter 6 ～ Chapter7) : Conclusion. It summed up the value orientation of the shuikou landscape such as eco-natural, public sharing, unique symbol, multi-function integrated,Then analyzed the shuikou landscape situation, causes and development of methods and remediation. Then put forward the value applied to modern architecture, landscape design.
