AbstractCoecidiosis Abstract Coecidiosis is recognized major parasitic disease of poultry and caused by the apicomplexam protozoan Eimeria．The annual economic losses of poultry industry in the world is estimated at about US$3 billion because ofhigher morbidity(50--70％)and mortality(20-30％，sometime up to 80％) ofthis disease．Currently，chemotherapy is extensively used and the disease has largely been controlled through the use of anti-eoeeidial drugs added directly into feed．However,coupled with another factor that the question of dmg residue in poultry products is increasingly concerned。rapid appearance of resistant Eimeria strains and very few new drugs developed have stimulated studies alternative control methods，one of which is pmphytaxis with live vaccine．Therefore，the present studies were carried out to develop new live vaccines against coccidiosis，and the results were as the followings． ‘¨Six species疆．tenella E．necalrix,E．max☆na,E．acervulina,E．brunette．E，mitis and E． praecox)WeUg isolated successfully from chickens in Lanzhou,Gansu province。by single oocyst technique with plastic paper．The complete gone of 18S rRNA of E acervulina(EalSS rDNA、Was cloned and sequenced，and then the phylogenetie relationship of E acervulina with other Eimeria species Was also discussed． (2)The pathogenicity of six Eimeria species obtained in this study was investigated，showing that they were virulent．When infected with 6x 104 oocys协each chieke玛chicken’S growth Was inhibited significantly,and half of chickens died when infected with 9x105 1．2x106 oocys协each chicken． Moreover,the whole fatality dose Was 1．8×100 oocysts each chicken． (3)Three different live vaccines including LCV(tetragenous)，LCVol and LCV-2(hexavalen)were developed，and their security and immune-efficacy were investigated，according to the internationally accepted parameters，such∞average relative ratio ofweight up。OPG,intestinal lesion score．morbidity and mortality．The results showd that the chickens immunized with thes
