State Revenues and Expenditures in China and America Across the world, every country has its own state revenues and expenditures due to the differences of Social and economic development and HYPERLINK "app:ds:the%20condition%20of%20a%20country" \t "_self" the conditions of the countries. So do China and America. It is widely agreed that America’s government expenditures and revenues may be superior to China’s in virtue of developed economy while china lag behind. Let me compare some statistics about China’s and US’s government expenditures and revenues in 2010 to illustrate the two dimensions and HYPERLINK "app:ds:structure" \t "" structures of China and America. Firstly, let us focus on the government revenues in 2010. According to Chinese Minister of Finance, the total government revenue is about 8308 billion Yuan or 1258.8 billion dollars according to the currency of 6.6 between China and America while the total amount of the American government revenue is 4200.8 billion dollars. As to the ratio of the total revenue to GDP, we can find that China’s is about 21% and American is about 29%. The main sources of American government revenue in 2010 as follows: Income Taxes. It is about 1390.5 billion dollars including individual Income Tax and Corporate Income Tax, which is about 33% of the total revenue. Ad-valorem Taxes. It is the second biggest source. It is about 1108 billion dollars, which is about 26% of the total revenue. Social Insurance Taxes. It is about 967.1 billion dollars, which is about 23% of the total revenue.
