This paper introduces the RTM process and its characterizations briefly. The governing equations of resin flow are presented. Based on the exposition of main prob- , - lems of the commonly used methods in modeling the RTM process the boundary fitted coordinate system andthefinitedifferencemethodaswell asthe resinflow domaindecomposition processareem- ployed to simulate the RTM resinflow processinthecase of mold with interiorinsert. Thesuccessive resin flow front position,calculating mesh and thepressuredistributionat thefinalstageareobtained, which ishelpfulfor locating the air vent and goodagreement isfound between the resultsand other, investigations.
