Plant was the main body of aspection changes. Especially in northern areas which had distinctive four seasons, the changes of plants were particularly important. Landscape design could be handy only by mastering the characters of the aspection and plant biology. Observation of phenology was needed when plant aspection changes were studied. 50 normal hardwoods with broad leaves in northern Henan Province were observed. Each stage was analyzed on the basis of floristics from rhythms of blooming, foliation, leaf and fruit color changes and so on. Finally, landscape configuration principles in four seasons and some problems should be noticed were put forward combining with the instance analysis.
