Abstract: In view of f acing t he st at us quo of dual pressur es of w at er sho rtag es and w at er pollution in U ru-
m qi, w e select ed r ooves and roads of f our dif ferent underlaying surf aces as rainw at er sampling point s, and
analyz ed t he st orm runo ff qualit y t rends in diff erent t ime. T he result s show ed t hat the rainw at er runo ff
w as ser io usly po llut ed initially, w ith high concent rat ion of po llut ants . Wit h runo ff t ime co nt inuing, the
po llut ant concent ration present ed dow nw ard tr end, w hile there w as cert ain r elevance w it hin pollut ant s.
