Studies Studies on Developmental Anatomy of Elongated Growth about Bamboo Culms Abstract The developmental anatomy of elongated growth about bamboo culms was investigated with light microscopy．The results are as follows： 1、The process of elongated growth about bamboo culms includes two stages： elongated growth under the ground，elongated growth above the ground． 2、The apical meristem is responsible for the elongated growth under the ground，a primary growth， which develops toward the apex．The process of elongated growth under the ground is divided into five phases：dormant phase， sprouted phase，
