AbstractHerbert Abstract Herbert Marcuse，one of the early Frankfurt school，the father of the”new left”。 He had written is rich，whose work involves culture，art，philosophy and poHfics，and other fields，including persistent thinking of art is present throughout the Marcuse thought development，Marcuse at the age of,art and aesthetics comprises all the Marcuse thought．Marcuse’S artistic thought is based on，the relationship between art and reality and negative dialectics philosophy as its philosophical foundation，a critique of technology of the developed industrial society and constitutes the realistic foundation of Marcuse art thought．At the same time，Marcuse actively learn from and Heidegger’s existentialism theory,Marxist aesthetics，Freud’S psychoanalytic theory and represented by Kants concept of German classical aesthetics to literary theory construction．Art,as the form of reality,Marcuse is about the relationship between art and reality．As a practical form of art does not mean that the real life of beautification， nor does it imply that the fine goods packaging，it is a representative of experience with the real world completely thin across the world，the political potential of art is the art and practical experience in the world of conflict．Although Marcuse literary thought has a rich theoretical connotation，but it is still a past history context theory, too much emphasis on the instinct of a man and sensibility and ignore the social and practical，this is Marcuse limitations of literary thought．Today,the spread of the postmodern theory,deal with Marcuse literary thought and contemporary literary theories，the relationship between the inheritance of history theory and cutting is very necessary． In this paper,including the preface and epilogue，a total of five parts： The in仃oduction part of Marcuse art thought to do a simple summary,and carding the research status of Marcuse art thought． The first chapter inspects Marcuse the historical context of the formation of the lit
