A kind of shield method for reducing supersonic gas impinging jet noise

Abstract: Based o u dersta di g the feedback mecha ismof discretefreque cy oise i impi gi g jet, a ew ki d of method is proposedto re
duce the oise by destroyi g the formatio of the feedback loop effectively. The mai idea is usi g a shield to preve t the feedback acoustic
wavefrom arrivi g at the ozzle lip. At the same time the shield is required to be out of thejet bou dary a d keep o touchwith theflow of im
pi gi g jet. Experime tal results showed that ge erally the oise ca be reduced by more tha 5 dB at the right shield parameters. Moreover,
measureme ts a d a alysis co firmed that the method is helpful for the impi gi g jet to i crease thrust a d remove particles o the surface.
