Studies Studies OR Resistance of Grain Aphid($1toblon avenae)to Neonicot／noid Insecticides Author：．Hall Xiao-li Ipefvj帅c Chi Guo-tong and Pan Wen-Iiang Majoc P∞如ida∞-ience Abstract In this study,黜itivity to 5 neonicotinoid insecticides in[1idacloprid,acetamiprid, imidelothiz,thiamethoxam and nicotine was detected in岫aphid(Sitobion avenae) collected from five sites Yuxiam(Hebei)，Yengling(Shaanxi)，Yah’an(Shaanxi)，Chengdu (Sichuan)and Ben#u(Anhui)in China；the relative fitness in imidacloprid-resistant strain was studied by comparing the life table of imidaeloprid-resistant strain of the Sitobion aMellae谢lh that of imidaeloprid—sensitive strain of the Sitobion avenae,morever,the synergistic action of enzyme-inhibitors and activity of metablie enzymes wore tested； biochemical m∞hanisms of resistance to imidaeloprid in Sitobion avetlae was studied． n坞results、慨summaried as follows： 1．Significant difference exsits in susceptibilities ofpopulations ofSitobion a1，ellae in different aleas to the five neonicotinoid insecticides，the population from 8cn#u(Anhui) Wits l 19．6，95．7 and 16．5 times less sensitive to imidaeloprid,aeetamiprid and imidaclothiz than the population from Yuxian(Hebei)．The sensitivity to imidacloprid of the population from Siehuan and the population from Yangling is 5．7 and 5．0 times lower than the population fiom Yuxian．WKle the∞msitivity to thiamethoxam of Yanglin甙Shaanxi) population is 5．3 times lower than the population from Yan’all(Shanxi)．111e populations from the five areas mentioned above had not developed obvious resistance to nicotine． 2．The difference in硐produccive ability of the imidacloprid·resistant strain and the susceptible strain of Sitobion avenae was found by comparision of life tables of the imidaeloprid-resistant strain and the susceptible stlain，and the imidacloprid—resistant strain exhibited obvious r印roductive disadvantages，compared谢tll susceptible SHrill．1k fitness of the imidadoprid—resistant strain was evaluated by山e net reprodu
