Revjew Revjew study 013 reIationshiP between OhroniC heart fai I ure and BIcod DefiCi ency Syndrome Special ity：INternal Medioine of TCM Author：Yao Hao Rong Tutor：Li Nan Y Abstract Objective：To study the relationship between congestive heart failure and Blood Deficiency Syndrome for elucidating the importance of Blood—deficiency Syndrome in chronic heart failure． Method：500 correlatire iil cases were collected from the medical records in the record room with the patients’clinical symptoms，signs and related laboratory results and a11 the collected data were saved and managed by certain data base software．The cases were divided into two groups：the Blood Deficiency Group and the Non Blood Deficieney Group．The data underwent statistical analysis to investigate the relationship between Chronic heart failure and Blood Deficiency Syndrome． Results：1．The ineidence of anemia was 23．6 percent of the a11 the chronic heart failure cases．There were significant differences at the red blood cell count，hematocrit(Hct)，hemoglobin content(Hb)between the anemia group and non—anemia group． 2．The Blood Deficiency Cases made up 6．2％of all the chronic heart failure cases，and respectively 3．6％，7．8％and 9．3％in the cases with cardiac function grade II，III and IV． 3．The makers that made the Blood Deficiency Group distinguishing from Non—Blood Deficiency Group村th statistical significanoe the cl inical manifestations as follow：polypnea after physical activities，numbness of limbs，insomnia，dizziness，dim eyesight，asthenia，small pulse，being unable to lay down for shortness of breath，pallescence of lips，palleseence of eyelet and hyponychium，light white of tongue body and light white of complexion． 4．There 4．There were statastical Significance between the Blood Deficiency Group and the Non—Blood DefiCiency Group in terms of the the count of leukocyte， lymphocyte，neutrophilie granulocyte，erythroeyte and hemoglobin content． Conclusion：The cases with Blood—deficiency Syndrome accounted for a certai
