万方数据 万方数据 ABSTRACT There were excellent culture during Chinese 5000 years’civilization,while another some backwards did exist.Due to the production of private ownership, women lost the right to participate in social labor, forced to rely on men in economy, lacked economic independence, hard to feed themselves, gradually lost the initiative in all aspects of life, slowly became mans accessories. Friedrich Engels pointed out that the liberation of women related to the liberation of mankind, if women can’t get liberation, then the liberation of mankind can not be finished. After the founding of China, with the continuous development of society , the ancient thoughts began to change, especially after the reform and opening up, the socialist market economy played a full role to the characteristics of the equality,competitiveness and openness, the huge market needed to provide women with more opportunities to participate in social labor. China promulgated the equality between men and women basic national policy, the problem of women rising to a certain height, womens status was sure from the legal level;Women’s problems were solved along with the development of society after the women’s liberation and right organizations were set up. In fact,there are some distances between ideality and reality.Traditional ideas of female subordination has been around for hundreds of years, women had been taught to learn wifely submission and virtue, later to become a wife, bear the important mission of family, the old idea not only makes the females self-awareness stagnant, but also makes the public accept this concept. Backward idea are undoubtedly the major obstacles on the way to realize the equality between men and women, naturally produces a series of unequal treatment, it is not hard to find, the idea of gender discrimination is not completely eliminated, there are more or less gap between Chinese female and male in the economic, political, social, cultural ,family life and some ot
